In memory of Jerry Garcia

I was thinking over the weekend that the passing of Jerry Garcia should not go unobserved in Jakarta. While I make no pretense of being a Deadhead (having attended only three Grateful Dead concerts), I have spent countless hours over the last 25 years listening to the lyrics and rifts that sprang from the fertile mind and gentle soul of that native San Franciscan.

As a small tribute to his memory, I am extending an open invitation to fans of "Jerry and the Boys" for snacks and drinks at my place on Friday, Aug. 18, 1995 from 8:00 p.m. until about 10:00 p.m. Nothing fancy or structured, just an opportunity to listen to some music and remember Jerry for a couple of hours.
