'IHT', 'JoongAng IIbo' tie up

JAKARTA (JP): The International Herald Tribune (IHT) and
JoongAng Ilbo plan to form a publishing partnership in South
Korea.

According to the announcement jointly issued by the two
newspapers in Paris on Tuesday, JoongAng llbo will produce an 8-
page section in English that covers news, economy, business,
culture and sport in South Korea.

Under the proposed arrangement, the section will be inserted
into the International Herald Tribune as a second section and
will be sold as a joint newspaper throughout the country by
subscription and newsstands.

The partnership is expected to launch before yearend.
