Idul Fitri Across the World
Marking the end of the fasting month of Ramadhan, Muslims across the world celebrate Idul Fitri.
It was a joyful, victorious day for many people who fasted from sunrise to sunset throughout the month.
But it was not so joyful for many Muslims in Pakistan, who were still struggling to recover from the impact of the recent earthquake, and those in Iraq, who continue to face security problems. Despite their hardship, they gathered during the day to hold traditional prayers.
And as always, in many places the day was a special one for children.
Happy Idul Fitri.
