Ice hockey tour starts Thursday

JAKARTA (JP): Better known as a tropical country, Indonesia will see six local teams competing in a completely novel sport here: ice hockey.

The ice hockey tournament will take place at the Sky Rink ice skating arena in Taman Anggrek Mall, West Jakarta, from Thursday to Sunday.

"Despite the fact that there is no snow here, more and more players have become interested in ice hockey lately. That's why we have organized the tournament," Agustina of Sky Rink said in a written statement.

Six teams are taking part in the tournament: Fleming Nitro, Good Fellas, Ice Slap, Odyssey and Pandawa from Jakarta, and Sixel from Surabaya. (nvn)
