IBRA deputy to head Danamon

JAKARTA (JP): Deputy chairman of the Indonesian Bank Restructuring Agency (IBRA) Arwin Rasyid has been appointed as president of publicly listed PT Bank Danamon Indonesia.

IBRA said Tuesday that Arwin's appointment was made during Danamon's extraordinary shareholders' meeting on Monday.

"Bank Danamon's new management consist of personals with high experiences and are known as professionals in the banking sector," the agency said in a press statement.

The meeting, which was closed to the media, also appointed as Danamon's directors Armand B. Arief, Dahlia Ariotedjo, Muliadi Rahardja, Gatot Suwondho, Krishna Suparto and Ria Sidabutar.

Arwin replaced Milan R. Shuster, who was named as commissioner at the bank.(bkm)
