Husband-beater gets three months

MEDAN, North Sumatra: Delima Margareta Br. Regar, a 46-year
old primary school teacher, was sentenced to three months in jail
after the court found her guilty of beating her defenseless
husband, a stroke victim, Antara reported.

The assault took place last June after the husband, Mulia
Siagian, 52, accused Delima of having an affair with a 45-year
old man identified only as HFD.

Protesting that she was innocent, Delima then attacked Mulia,
who is partially paralyzed, with a stick and scissors. He
required hospital treatment.

In his testimony, Mulia said Delima had often hit him before.
