Human error?
Human error?
I would like to express greetings to The Jakarta Post, since
it is my first English newspaper and it adopts a one-stop reading
headline format, as well as providing the latest news with
considered articles.
Let me introduce myself. I am just an ordinary employee in the
research and development department of a multinational enterprise
in Indonesia.
As a professional newspaper, in my opinion the Post makes few
significant mistakes (wrong titles, poor grammar, word choice,
etc.).
However, I am still confused about two stories that appeared
in the Dec. 1 issue on page four under the headlines The kiss of
death may be on the lips for stations and Right body wants
judicial powers.
Was this just a slight human error by the layout person, the
result of the poor proofreading skills of the editor on duty or
just laziness in the newsroom?
