Housing complex in Bogor

JAKARTA (JP): A developer of resort-style houses in Bogor will start the second phase of its project next week, according to a company executive.

Privately-owned PT Graha Andrasentra Propertindo's president Hamid Mundzir said yesterday the construction of 850 houses in the Graha Bogor Indah complex would start on Aug. 15.

"The project, designed by THG Master Planner of Australia, is expected to be completed in three years," Hamid said.

He said his company had invested about Rp 175 billion (US$67.3 million) in the enterprise located on a 32-hectare plot of land on Jl. Pahlawan in Bogor, 60 kilometers south of Jakarta.

There will be two tyoes of houses, an 80-square-meter house on a 100-square-meter plot and a 100-square-meter house on a 150- square-meter plot, Hamid said.

They will cost Rp 135 million and Rp 170 million, respectively.

About 300 houses were sold in the first construction phase, which started in 1994.

Hamid said his company would continue to build smaller houses in the next few years. (jun)
