House gets new secretary-general

JAKARTA: House of Representatives Speaker Akbar Tandjung installed on Thursday Faisal Djamal as the new House secretary- general, replacing Siti Nurhayati who is retiring.

Akbar also swore in I Gusti Ayu Dharsini as the House deputy secretary-general to replace Faisal. Dharsini was formerly the head of supervisory affairs at the House secretariat.

In his remarks, Akbar told Djamal and Dharsini to form a good team to enable them to manage the employees of the House secretariat, who number over 1,000, and help the House members. --JP
