Hotel gives scholarships

JAKARTA (JP): To commemorate their first anniversary, Quality
Hotel Aspac yesterday handed out 37 scholarships to high-
achieving but needy students from schools in the Benda district,
Tangerang, surrounding the Sukarno-Hatta International Airport.

The scholarships were given to 35 students from 10 elementary
schools in the area and two students from Pandawa Budiluhur
tourism school.

The elementary students will receive Rp 25,000 each month for
a year while their seniors will receive Rp 35,000.

The scholarships were presented at a ceremony yesterday held
at the hotel which is located at Terminal 2 of the airport.

The scholarships, along with blood donations to the Indonesian
Red Cross, were part of the hotel's community service to extend
their appreciation to the surrounding community.
