Honda toys with Formula 1
TOKYO: Honda could be back in Formula 1 racing soon.
The company recently rejected speculation that it would return in 1998 to replace Renault at the Williams team, but now admits that a 1999 return is on the cards.
At that time, Honda would end its successful IndyCar program in the U.S.
And while Honda considers an F1 return, executives of German carmakers BMW and Porsche have said they have no plans to come back.
