Holland offers full scholarships

BOGOR: The Dutch government is offering full scholarships for civil servants, activists, lecturers as well as journalists in the Studeren in Nederland (StuNed) scheme.

"The StuNed scholarship scheme is only for Indonesians ... it is aimed at helping development in the country through the empowerment of its human resources," Siska Aprilianti, a scholarship officer for the Netherlands Education Center, was quoted as saying by Antara while disseminating information on the scheme at the Bogor Institute of Agriculture on Thursday.

She said the institution sent about 200 students through the scheme every year.

"The applicants should have worked at their current job for at least two years ... those who have registered at universities in the Netherlands can also apply for a scholarship," she said. -- JP
