Hockey association has new chief

JAKARTA (JP): Primadi Tabrani was elected chairman of the Indonesian Hockey Association (PHSI) for the 1999-2003 term replacing Rajkumar Singh, Antara reported on Friday.

Tabrani, former chief of PHSI's West Java chapter and a lecturer at the School of Art and Design of the Bandung Institute of Technology in Bandung, West Java, would be assisted by his deputy Karanbir Singh, secretary general Masturoh, deputy secretary general Nehemia Wospakrik and Treasurer Lasmono.

Also included in the board of executives are Alex Tendean, who is in charge of the athletes development, Hutapea, for the funding and enterprises and Djamilus Syarif for research and development.

Rajkumar Singh remained the association's official.

"I stepped down from the association' board of executives because I had been there for a long time. I also want to continue with my business because the situation now is getting better," he said.(ivy)
