Ho to temporarily lead Indosat

JAKARTA: Publicly listed PT Indosat, the country's second largest telecommunications firm, said it has appointed Ng Eng Ho, as the company's vice president director to deal with the company's daily operations.

In a statement on Thursday, Indosat said Ho would take over all duties left by the outgoing president director, Widya Purnama, until shareholders appointed new president in an extraordinary shareholder meeting in September or October.

The government appointed Widya on Wednesday to lead troubled state oil and gas company PT Pertamina. -- JP
