HK artist to perform here
JAKARTA (JP): Hong Kong singer and actor Andi Lau will perform in a three-day show at the Jakarta Convention Center from Jan. 3. to Jan 5.
The singer stared in the popular TV series Return of the Condor Heroes.
"A good prospect for viewers is dangled before him," said Sujadi Husein, director of PT Duta Kawan Kita.
He said 70 percent of tickets, which cost between Rp 100,000 and Rp 600,000 (US$252) had been sold.
The Jakarta Convention Center holds 5,000 people.
"We have been forced to cancel a show in Bangkok. As a result, Lau's fans abroad have increased ticket sales by 15 percent," Sujadi said.
Andrew Lee, the singer's personal manager, said the most popular song Lau would sing was Laishen Yuen (Separating Wall), which was a tragic love story
He said Lau would sing an Indonesian song, Bengawan Solo, and four English songs.
The stage would be decorated with toys and accessories from his role as Yoko in the TV series, he said.
Lau visited Indonesia in 1995. (07)
