Herbal drinks

Some time ago, a colleague of mine, Mrs. L, complained of intense pain when she walked and it came so sudden, as a bolt out of the blue. She apparently had what is colloquially known as Tulang Tumbuh, a bone growth on her foot, she said. Adults growing new back molars is one thing, but a bone growth on the heel is something new to me.

She went to a specialist and although she got an injection to ease the pain, it did not cure the affliction. Mrs. L is an active woman who is fond of walking, so this affliction depressed her, especially when she woke up in the morning and felt excruciating pain in her heel when she put her feet on the floor. Each time she went to the orthopedist he'd mumbled about osteoporosis and other medical terms she could not remember. She got an injection, which cost her Rp 50,000 besides the consultation fee, and to ease the pain (not to get rid of) she was advised to take three Voltaren tablets daily. So one can understand that Mrs. L was very much disheartened.

The treatment went on for one year. Apparently Voltaren tablets did lessen the pain, but did not make the illness vanish. Mrs. L philosophized: "I am wholly dependent on Voltaren for the rest of my life and I know from hearsay that it is bad for my stomach. What a wretched future I have."

At that time, Mrs. L's husband happened to work for a company selling "Matol" herbal drink imported from Canada. As an employee he received a bottle a month free of charge. Mrs. L, needing to boost her sagging spirit, decided to drink "Matol" in the hope that it might revive her enthusiasm for life. Strange as it may sound, after a month she felt the pain on her heel had gradually lessened, and she reduced the Voltaren dose from three to two tablets daily. After another month, she reduced the dose to one tablet and ultimately she stopped taking Voltaren tablets as she felt completely cured.

So, in this instance, she was cured by a herbal drink, the ingredients of which consist of various flowers which can be found in abundance on the vast Canadian mountainsides and in valleys. Is it not amazing that Mrs. L's agony can be cured by a simple herbal drink made of Canadian wild flowers? The mysteries in the world are endless.
