Healthy food

A letter in the June 23, 1994 issue of The Jakarta Post prompts me to make the following observations:

* A "taller" generation is not necessarily synonymous with a healthier one. The best way to measure health is through a lab report.

* The healthiest food is probably unknown to mankind. But one is for sure, steamed vegetables without salt are less healthy than raw vegetables without salt.

For several weeks, The Jakarta Post had many articles which were quite negative about fast food chains. I fully understand that anybody involved in that business wants to defend it but it is a mistake to think that many people are not aware of the dangers of: Fried Food, Red Meat, Saturated Fats, Salt, Sugar, MSG, Bottled Drinks, Preservatives and Colorings.

You say you have the back up data to support your information and I am pleased to tell you that I have my own data to support mine.
