Health center gets ISO certificate
JAKARTA: The Tambora public health center in West Jakarta received on Wednesday the ISO 9001:2000 certificate for quality management.
"I expect that with better public service other health centers will also be able to qualify for certification," said Mayor Sarimun Hadisaputra while presenting the certificate to the management of the health center, which is located at Jl. Krendang Utara No. 4, as quoted by city online news portal Beritajakarta.com.
The Kebon Jeruk public health center has also been awarded an ISO 9001 certificate and the Kembangan public health center is next on the list, Sarimun said.
Indrawati, the head of the municipal health agency, said the Tambora health center met internationally recognized standards of health promotion, environmental health management, neonatal care, nutrition and eradication of infectious diseases. -- JP
