Headless body found in field

BOGOR (JP): Residents of Kebon Palawija in Cigudeg district found a headless body on Friday morning in a field of state plantation firm PT Perkebunan Nusantara, a police officer said.

Cigudeg Police chief First Insp. Sukirman maintained that the victim, in his 30s, was not a local resident and looked like an ojek (motorcycle taxi) driver.

The 170-centimeter-tall victim, dressed in a red T-shirt and blue jeans, also bore a gash on his elbow and was missing four fingers on his right hand.

Sukirman said local residents fruitlessly tried to find the victim's head and four fingers in the bushes, before they alerted the police.

The body was then transferred to PMI General Hospital. (21/06)
