Hartono's men still await trial

JAKARTA (JP): The trial of three assistants of the alleged high-class brothel owner, Hartono Setyawan, was postponed by the judge yesterday because prosecutors were not prepared for sentencing.

Presiding judge Stephanus Sutrisno decided to give prosecutor Eko Siwi Irianti and prosecutor Esther Datu Rante until Thursday to prepare.

Esther Datu Rante is the prosecutor for Hamzah, the locale's receptionist, and Ari Dewanto, who worked as a driver for Hartono. Eko Siwi Irianti is the prosecutor for Kho Ghay Goen, the alleged pimp's right hand man.

According to the original schedule, the two prosecutors were to have read their sentence request yesterday while prosecutor Rotua Marpaung was to read the sentence request for Hartono tomorrow.

Prosecutor Eko Siwi told The Jakarta Post that the trial was forced to be postponed because the provincial prosecutor's office had not handed down the prosecutor's sentence proposal, known as Rentut to them.(mas)
