Harley race to take off from Sentul
JAKARTA: After its launch in 2002, Indonesian Harley-Davidson Drag Race will commence its third six-series race at Sentul race track on Sunday.
The final series of the race, said to be the only such event in Asia, is scheduled to take place on Dec. 29 in Bali. The race is sponsored by cigarette giant PT Sampoerna.
Meta Rostiawati, an official of the Sampoerna organizing committee, said during a press conference on Friday that the winning prize would be a Harley-Davidson Sportster 883.
The 2004 series is expected to draw at least 40 racers, including four members of the Dji Sam Soe Super Premium team: Djoko Iman Santoso, Andre Jess Sunarko, Arrie Yuwono and Donnie Oekon. -- JP
