Happiness and sorrow

Happiness and sorrow are the two sides of a human being's life. It seems that there is no happiness if there is no sorrow. What is clear is that usually a human being can really appreciate happiness and laughter when both are beyond his grasp. For example, sometimes we are less grateful to God for what we possess: our eyes, our ears, wealth and our health. We only remember God after a disease has ripped into our body, wealth has made us lose our bearings, and our family causes us grief.

In fact, when we are overwhelmed with grief, when the bitter and gloomy side of life impinges on us, curses and swearwords often fall from our mouths. However, if we consider the situation calmly and honestly, it turns out that the gloomy side of life can also become a means for us to enjoy and appreciate happiness.

As such, in this world, we can also feel lucky, because the stock of unhappiness is so abundant. Without life's bitterness and grief we do not know how to enjoy the sweetness and pleasantness of life.

We often do not fully realize that there is a certain blessing in all our sufferings, because without tasting the bitterness of life, we cannot really feel the sweetness of life. In our suffering is God who is continuously guiding us with his love until we attain happiness.
