JAKARTA (JP): Joint-venture life insurance company PT Asuransi
Jiwa Bersama Bumiputera John Hancock opened a new sales and
service center yesterday at Wisma Bisnis Indonesia, West Jakarta.

Derek Chilvers, president and chief executive officer of John
Hancock International Holdings, the international arm of U.S.-

the joint venture's third, was proof of the company's strong
commitment to Indonesia.

"This new sales and service center symbolizes our continued
investment in Indonesia, and our undeterred plans for growth. Our
company is planning for further expansion in Indonesia as we
strengthen our presence in Jakarta and begin to develop other
cities," Chilvers said.

Bumiputera John Hancock was established in 1987 and is 20
percent owned by PT Asuransi Jiwa Bersama Bumiputera 1912,
