Hamzah to leave for Japan

INDONESIA: Vice President Hamzah Haz will fly to Japan on
Sunday for a general medical checkup.

Hamzah is scheduled to take off at 11:30 p.m. on Sunday from
Soekarno-Hatta International Airport aboard a Garuda Indonesia
commercial flight.

The Vice President's first wife Ismaniah will accompany
Hamzah, along with some of his staff. The whole entourage will
comprise 20 people.

There is no official information on the name of the hospital
where he is to undergo the checkup.

Hamzah is slated to return to Jakarta on Thursday at
midnight. --JP
