Hamzah says 'tarawih' prayers

Jakarta: Vice President Hamzah Haz joined the congregation of Darussalam Mosque in Matraman, East Jakarta, for the tarawih non- obligatory prayers on Friday evening.

Wearing the white koko Muslim shirt and black cap, Hamzah mingled with hundreds of other Muslims crowding the mosque, which is only about ten meters away from his home.

Hamzah arrived early on Friday after a five-day trip to Japan where he underwent health checkups. "I'm in good health," he said, as quoted by Antara. --JP
