Hamburg offers free service
JAKARTA (JP): Hamburg Business Development Corporation (HWF), a consulting firm financed by the administration of the German city of Hamburg, has opened its office here to assist local firms hoping to start trade ties with Europe through the port city.
"We are particularly aiming at small and medium-scale companies which want to trade with European or German partners through Hamburg," Dietmar Dudden, the firm's chairman, told reporters yesterday.
"Our advisory service will be free of charge," he said.
Dudden said HWF will not only enlighten potential Indonesian exporters about specific trade, marketing or investment regulations, but will also connect them with potential clients. (hdj)
