Habibie key figure

The new President B.J. Habibie has announced his Reform and Development Cabinet. Let's not debate the pros and cons of this new cabinet. But I do have one question. Has the cabinet reflected on the political standpoint of Habibie to conduct "total reform" and clean-up the government from the influence of Soeharto's regime?

Let us wait and see what the government will do to solve the crisis and abolish corruption, collusion and nepotism.

I would further propose four points: 1) Set political prisoners free as soon as possible; 2) Freedom of the press should applied and a review made of publications banned during the past regime; 3) Establish an independent committee to investigate Soeharto's and his family's wealth; 4) Conduct a general election.

I know Habibie has a lot of work to do ahead but if he has political will to realize the above mentioned matters, total reform can be achieved in the not too distant future.
