Gun stolen from car at DPR complex
JAKARTA (JP): Police are still searching for a thief who broke into a car at the People's Consultative Assembly/House of Representatives (MPR/DPR) compound on Tuesday and stole a bag containing a pistol, a police report stated on Wednesday.
The report disclosed that the car, which belongs to Indonesian Military (TNI)/National Police faction legislator, Posman L. Tobing, was parked in front of the Gedung Nusantara V building at the compound when the robbery took place.
"The thief promptly stole a red bag which was inside the car," the report said, adding that the incident occurred at approximately 12:45 p.m.
The legislator informed police that the bag contained valuable items and documents including a revolver, five bullets and a gun permit, the report detailed. (jaw)
