Guess What? Toeti Adhitama

Some people are against lotteries, which are considered gambling. But not Toeti Adhitama, editor of Eksekutif, a business monthly.

She organized a special lottery during the launching of the two volumes of The Eksekutif Interview Friday in conjunction with the magazine's 16th anniversary. A luncheon was held right before the book launching, which took place at Grand Hyatt Hotel.

The third and fourth volumes of the book are still in process.

"As you see, there is a set of the books on each table. We will arrange a lottery to decide who will get them," Toeti said.

"There are many unoccupied seats here in the front row, please, don't be shy about moving," she told the guests.

The books are the result of the translation of main Eksekutif interviews with almost 100 executives, mostly from the business circles and the government. The original interviews were first published in the monthly during the period between July 1979 and December 1986.

Toeti said the books are not cheap, but she was reluctant to mention the price of the books.

Executives, however, will surely be able to afford them.(sim)
