Guess What? Shanty

Valentine's Day is a special day when lovers usually spend it by spoiling their loved ones. But instead of celebrating the day with her lover, MTV's VJ and model Shanty had to spend the night entertaining couples in love at Planet Hollywood.

"Stop it, or I will go to your table to stop it myself," teased Shanty after witnessing a man holding his girlfriend at a table close to the stage. "I'm jealous of you guys," she added.

Her boyfriend, video clip director Dimas Djajadiningrat, was nowhere to be seen in the fully booked movie-theme restaurant, which held a special promotion to mark Valentine's Day on Monday.

But Dimas' absence did not stop Shanty from showing her love. In this case, Shanty presented him with a song, You Light Up My Life.

"This song is dedicated to my boyfriend who is not here tonight," she said.

And her voice did not disappoint the audience, including when she performed more songs with singer Glenn Fredly, who entertained couples with his hit Cukup Sudah (Enough).

"Her voice reminds one of (singer) Reza," said Planet Hollywood's public relations manager Wiwin Erikawati. (ste)
