Aside from running modeling school OQ and producing her own
show, Okky, on RCTI, model Okky Asokawati, 37,
recently took up another job.

"I am public relations officer for The Center for Chinese
Traditional Services (Pusaka Timur) which offers alternative
medication for several kinds of diseases," the 170-cm tall model
said.

"They have brought down two sinshe (Chinese traditional
physicians) from China. Whether it's a stroke, kidney problems or
asthma, they take care of it."

She says that consultations at the office in Kebun Jeruk, West
Jakarta, do not cost more than Rp 50,000 (US$3.50).

"This is better than moving from one hospital to another, or
worse, having to fly from one country to another," Okky said.

Okky said that she took the job because she felt she had to do
something to help people unable to pay the crisis-induced soaring
costs of medication. (ylt)
