Guess What? Lulu Dewayanti
Female models Lulu Dewayanti and Keke Suryokusumo Harun are the happy mothers to a five-month-old baby.
"It's a baby that I and Keke plan to keep and nurture for the rest of our lives," Lulu said while laughing.
Lulu agreed that their five-month-old Look Models, Inc. was not something that came right out of American TV series Models Inc., but "we're getting there."
"We are currently looking for girls aged 14 to 20 to sign up," Lulu said Friday.
Isn't it illegal to sign up a 14-year-old girl?
"We're not going to sign them up immediately. We look for the good, tall charmers, train them to walk, talk and appear in front of TV for two years or so and then sign them up when they turn 18."
The newly born business currently has eight models, aged 18 to 25. Look Models hires them out for advertisements for TV station Indosiar and Gebyar BCA, Plaza Indonesia fashion shows and boutique shows throughout Jakarta.
"We already have one 14-year-old girl that we plan to train at our modeling agency as soon as possible," she said.
At the expense of sounding corny, Lulu said there was something the agency dared to offer that few other top agencies provided.
"We provide our models good work every single week. There are fashion shows, TV advertisements and roles as hosts of TV shows lined up for them."
Lulu and Keke also model and earn cuts like everybody else.
Models who work only in fashion shows receive a 10 percent to 15 percent commission, while those working fashion shows, advertisements and TV shows receive 20 percent to 30 percent. (ylt)
