Guess What? Christine Hakim

There is a suspiciously strange sort of chicken porridge sold at a food stall on Jl. Raden Patah, South Jakarta. It is called Bubur Ayam (chicken porridge) KKN. What does the delicious dish have to do with the daily mentioned sins of corruption, cronyism and nepotism? Buyers at the stall owned by senior actor Christine Hakim, found it was an acronym for Kalo Kurang Nambah (If insufficient, take more).

There's a nationalist flair to her stall called Warung Merah Putih, named after the colors of the setting including the cutlery. Many customers wait patiently to try her various dishes which include spaghetti, but is unclear whether you can have more of these at no extra cost.

Christine is certainly in a red and white mood as she was recently spotted in a mall trooping the colors, in a red top, red shoes and white shorts. "Ready to be flown up the mast," was the comment of passersby at her national-flag-like attire. (ste/anr)
