Guess What? Atiek CB

Singer Atiek CB was mad at her husband. Not because of another woman. It was the Internet that grabbed his attention.

"He could spend hours in front of the computer," she said.

She recalled that when her husband, an American expatriate who loves hiking, planned a journey to a mountain in Nepal, he was so busy surfing the Internet that she felt annoyed.

She admits, though, that the Internet is also helpful as he finds a lot of useful information there.

As for herself, Atiek said she was not interested in the cyberworld. "Let people call me old-fashioned, but I don't like starring at the screen. I prefer reading."

But earlier this year, when her husband returned to his home country, Ati learned how to communicate with e-mails.

"I think I have to learn more, especially if I live in America. I will need it if I have to work, let's say in a department store...," she said.

According to Ati, her husband is scheduled to leave Indonesia for good next year.

In the meantime, she is preparing her new album. "Hopefully I can release it this year." (sim)
