Gudang Garam 's dividend

SURABAYA (JP): Cigarette maker PT Gudang Garam will pay a
total dividend of Rp 288 billion (US$120.25 million) for 1996 or
Rp 150 a share.

The company's director, Djajusaman Surjowijono said Thursday
that net profit was projected to increase 12 percent to Rp 738
billion this year.

Last year, net profit increased 78 percent to Rp 655 billion
in 1996 from Rp 366 billion the year before.

The company, which controlled about 46 percent of the
country's cigarette market share, produced 87 billion cigarettes
last year.

"The company expected to produce 90 billion cigarettes in
