Guardian Insurance responds

In response to Ms. Nosi Lestariwati's letter published on Oct.
19, it is with much regret we must advise that at the time of the
accident (Oct. 1, 1996, at 8:45 p.m.) the policy was not
operative.

We are therefore unable to assist Ms. Nosi Lestariwati with
her claim but trust her own insurers to be able to do so.
