Grief shared

Who would have imagined that some cruel fate might abruptly snatch away the life of a young man like Peter? Bob Hobman's narration (Feb. 24) of the circumstances under which Peter, a British tourist, died at the hands of unknown antisocial elements in Bali, is very moving. May Peter's soul rest in peace.

We understand the shock and sorrow the parents must have felt on hearing the news of their beloved son's untimely death. Like all parents, they must have dreamed of a bright future for their dear son. May God, by His Divine Grace, grant them sufficient strength and courage to come to terms with the tragic loss of their only son.

God only knows why such terrible things should happen in one's life. It is evident that "while today belongs to us, tomorrow belongs to God".

Bob Hobman, please do convey our deepest sympathy and sincere condolences to Peter's parents. Grief shared is halved, you know. It may be of some comfort and consolation for them to learn that there are people in Indonesia who share their distress and grief over a dear one gone to rest.
