Grey Berets for Army unit

JAKARTA (JP): Army Chief of Staff Gen. R. Hartono has issued
an order that members of the Army Engineers Corps' War Unit wear
grey berets effective last Wednesday.

The berets were worn by the troops on Oct. 15 during a
ceremony in Cijantung, East Jakarta, to commemorate the 51st
anniversary of the corps.

The chief of the Jakarta Army Engineers Corps, Col. Suyatno
KS, said the grey berets symbolized the neutral stance of the
corps in the sense that the corps were always ready to lend a
hand to any Army unit. (bas)
