Green the envy of Ford owners

DETROIT: A frog green Ford? Yes, please. Of all Ford vehicles sold in the United States last year 870,000 were various shades of green. Also almost a third of 1997 model year vehicles were a shade of green.

Ford has 15 variations of green, 13 shades of red and 13 of blue. The green upsurge is not unprecedented.

The famous Ford Model T initially came in several colors, including Brewster Green. At the end of the 1909 model year, the medium shade of green was so popular it was made a standard color. Dark green was optional, and contrary to popular belief, the car was not even available in black.iiii
