PT Copilas Indonesia demolished the graveyard in the South
Meruya Ilir district, West Jakarta recently, without giving any
notice to the people (more than 1.000) whose relatives are buried
at the site.

We know PT Copilas Indonesia plans to build real estate in the
area. Without any clear explanation, the company dug up the
graveyard and transferred the bones of the dead bodies to Curang
Mangu, Tangerang; but we saw that some of them were neglected.

In every feud between the rich (such as PT Copilas Indonesia)
and the poor (such as the residents of Meruya Ilir), it is almost
certain that the poor will be the losers. So, I beg the
government institutions that deal with building and land affairs
to take immediate action, taking into account the truth and their
consciences.
