Grand Wedding Expo to unveil on March 11

Just in time for the wedding season -- or for those couples
budding with nuptial anticipation -- the fourth Grand Wedding
Expo will be held from March 11 through 13 at the Jakarta
Convention Center.

Featuring the work of designer Nelwan Anwar, about 30 wedding
dresses and gowns made from ramie, a natural fiber, will be sent
down the catwalk for the expo's opening show.

The creations will be modeled by a star-studded cast,
including actresses Dorce Gamalama and Asti Ananta.

But no wedding is complete without the cake, and Libra Cake --
a leader in wedding and birthday cakes -- promises a spectacular
cake made especially for the event.

"I am still amazed by our own plan. The cake will be very
special," said Max of Libra Cake.

Last year, Libra Cake received an award from the Indonesian
Museum of Records in Semarang for baking a replica of a base
transmission station tower that measured 5 by 5 by 9 meters.

Meanwhile, cosmetics giant Martha Tilaar will present a
traditional Surakarta spa treatment as an option for brides to
prepare for their big day.

Talk shows and bridal shows are also scheduled for the
duration of the expo.

Mirella Wattimena of Panorama Convex, which is organizing the
event, said the grand expo would offer all items needed for a
wedding, from gowns to suits, from venues to decorations, from
souvenirs to invitations, and of course, honeymoon packages.
