Govt to issue bonds Nov. 30

The Ministry of Finance announced on Tuesday the government would issue bonds on Nov. 30 to worth around Rp 1.7 trillion (US$188.09 million) to help finance the current state budget.

The seven-year bonds will carry a fixed coupon of 10 percent, the ministry said.

The government will decide the yields based on the bids received during the auction, which will be the last bond issue this year.

The government has targeted to raise a total of Rp 23 trillion from the domestic bond market to help finance the state budget and repay maturing bonds.

Last month, the government issue Rp 4 trillion of seven-year bonds at a weighted average yield of 10.87 percent. The issue received strong demand from investors amid the country's rising macroeconomic stability. -- JP
