Govt rules on cassava exports

JAKARTA (JP): The Industry and Trade Ministry has issued a new set of regulations for exporters of cassava to the European Union countries, allowing only registered companies to export the commodity.

Based on a decree by the minister of industry and trade, companies must obtain export quotas from the International Trade Directorate General in the ministry, export certificates and the Certificates of Origin of Imports of Agricultural Products from the ministry's provincial offices, before the cassava could be exported to the European Union.

The export quota of cassava is set every year by the ministry. (das)
