Govt accounts at Rp 83.2t

JAKARTA: The current balance of government accounts at the central bank amounted to Rp 83.2 trillion (some US$8.7 billion) as of April 30, the Ministry of Finance's director general of state treasury Mulia Nasution said on Wednesday.

The amount, which is up from Rp 50 trillion last December, includes Rp 19.1 trillion in foreign currency reserves from oil exports and Rp 13.5 trillion in regional development funds, among others.

Meanwhile, director general of customs and excise Eddy Abdurrachman said state revenue from customs and excise over the same period has amounted to Rp 14.48 trillion, or 35.4 percent of this year's target. Revenues from customs reached Rp 5.09 trillion, or 42.3 percent of its target, while excise revenue was Rp 9.38 trillion, or 32.4 percent. -- JP
