Governor took a plunge

Jakarta Governor Surjadi Soedirdja and his entourage, his wife among them, fell into the Jelangkeng river on Aug. 24 when the bridge under their feet crumbled. North Jakarta Mayor H. Suprawito felt responsible for the incident.

The mayor need not be anxious. The incident happened because so many locals wanted to get close to the governor to show their appreciation of his visit.

I trust that the bridge will be repaired by the community collectively because they love their mayor too.
