Governor to open fish exhibition
An exhibition of ornamental fish, aimed at introducing aquarium fish as an export commodity, will be held from Aug. 8 to 14 at the Pondok Indah Mall, South Jakarta.
The head of the City Fishery Office, Soemaryo Wijoyo, said yesterday that the exhibition was scheduled to be opened by Governor Surjadi Soedirdja.
The 7-day exhibition will also be highlighted by a cooking competition which will be held on Aug. 10.
The activities are part of a series of programs organized by the city administration to commemorate the 467th anniversary of Jakarta and the 49th anniversary of Indonesian Independence. (arf)
