Governor irked by disguised campaign

SAMARINDA, East Kalimantan: East Kalimantan Governor Suwarna A.F
has lashed out at disguised campaigns ahead of direct elections
in the province.

"Some parties have violated campaign rules. Strangely enough,
the Election Supervisory Committee (Panwaslu) has done nothing,"
said Suwarna.

The protest came after posters and banners expressing support
for certain candidates were erected and posted across regencies
and municipalities in the province. The direct elections of heads
of regional governments will be held in five regencies and
municipalities in the province in a few months time. -- JP
