Indonesian products do tend to be shit.
I bought a night/emergency lamp a couple of weeks ago. Went through three in the shop before we found one that worked.

Indonesia will get a grand total of no fucking where until the manufacturers get their act together.

The government has re-launched "Cinta Indonesia" (Love Indonesia) program to induce people on using more Indonesia -made products.

"Many Indonesian, especially the upper class people, are reluctant to buy Indonesia products because they think the products have less quality than imported ones," Trade Ministry Mari Eka Pangestu told journalists during the opening ceremony of Inacraft exhibition at The Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Mari said that the program have been promoted in last two decades, but it was stopped with no reason.

"This is a movement to appreciate Indonesia products to be able compete with imported products," she said.

To support this program, the trade ministry will in cooperation with other ministries, involving several state-owned enterprises. (naf)
