Government policies

I fully agree with the government policies implemented after
careful consideration and through thoughtful deliberation. Hence,
I call on all of us to help the government realize its policies
in the efforts to solve the prevailing problems and to give the
government a chance to finish its five-year term.

There is no reason for us not to let President Abdurrahman
Wahid go through his five-year term of office, whereas we let the
New Order president stay in the post for a long time.

I also appeal to the President to make English a second
language, like in the Philippines, Malaysia and Singapore, so
that people will have a more thorough knowledge of English and be
able to understand such words as "reform, democracy, impeachment,
prerogative and interpellation, etc. We should be ashamed if we
are not familiar with those words.
