Gorontalo (ANTARA News) - The regional government of Gorontalo said that the lack of infrastructure facilities affected the realization of investment in the province, a regional government official said.

"There are a lot of investors who are willing to do business in the province of Gorontalo, but they are still waiting for the availability of infrastructural facilities such as electricity and expansion of seaport and airport," Gorontalo Regional Government Secretary Idris Rahim said here on Monday.

Therefore, the local government now continued to make efforts to complete different projects to attract investors to Gorontalo, he said.

He said that among the projects being done to attack investors included a 2x25 megawatt thermal power plants (PLTU) in Anggrek sub district and the one in Molotabu sub district with a capacity of 2x10 MW.

The local government is also improving its export import seaport in Anggrek sub district and its airport in an effort to expand its transportation facility capacity, Irdris Rahim said.
